Do You Want a Job

By Russell A. Kemp – Guest Author

SUPPOSE YOU HAD gone all out for nearly five months, taking over a superior officer’s duties because of his illness, as well as doing your own rather demanding job, and handling both jobs well. Suppose no mention was made of any extra compensation. And then when your superior did return, he offhandedly proposed that since you had done so well while he was away, you should keep on doing his work as well as your own, under his supervision–and still no mention of any raise in pay! Just keep on knocking yourself out. How would you feel?

That is just the way I felt. My own normal day’s work kept me on my toes. But when the purchasing agent took sick and I was asked to take over his duties as well as my own, I really learned what it was to be under pressure. Interviewed daily by various salesmen, all eager to exploit my inexperience, I learned to spot good buys and avoid the others. This, in addition to my own regular whirl of decisions and close checking of details, made heavy demands upon me.

But I was proud of my youthful speed of thought and snap decisions. I loved the game of buying, of pitting my wits and judgment against the seller’s. I did well at it.

Still, under the continual bombardment of rush, stress, and overwork, I was getting weary. There were brief flashes when my tired brain refused to work, my mind would go blank, and I just had to wait for it to resume functioning.

Subconsciously I had assumed that I would be promoted or otherwise rewarded for my months of double work and no extra pay, my pride was hurt, my send of justice outraged. I quit. There was no protest on management’s part.

With the optimism of youth I expected to walk right into another job with one of the rival wholesalers. But they were curiously uninterested. After calling on all of them, I gave up and loafed around home.

I was not worried, but as days went by I began to think seriously about what I might do. Other members of my family were already studying metaphysical teachings. I had picked up a smattering of them. One principle I heard was that of a divinely right place of work for each person as a child of God. I was said that in the divine economy there is a right place of work for everyone, and all that was necessary was for one to claim his rightful place from God, in order to become employed.

On a pleasant August afternoon, in my second week after quitting, I was relaxing in my room, lying flat on my back on the bed. Idly I thought about this principle of right place. In a very relaxed way I thought, “If there is right place for everyone in Divine Mind, that includes me, and according this principle, I must have this right place and be in it now.”

Suddenly and quite spontaneously, something happened within me. I fan only describe it as a feeling that something had clicked into place, as it were. Everything was all right. I felt relieved and happy, full of energy. I phoned a friend who was also out of work and we went out to an amusement park.

Two more days passed without any change in my affairs. On the third day I returned home to find the office manager of my former employer waiting for me. One of the city salesmen had been found to be short in his collections. I was offered this man’s territory. I would have a car (my first), an increase in pay and even a small expense account. best of all, I would be out in the open air, on the move, meeting people, a glamorous salesman! I accepted.

How happy I was! I walked on air. My sales jumped by thousands of dollars over my predecessor’s. I had started on a long, long trail, which finally led to my being a territorial sales manager for a large company. This later led to my entering my real life-work, the Unity ministry.

I have never forgotten that inward “click,” which of course I later came to know as “spiritual realization.” I had proved a great spiritual law, the law of right place. I knew for myself that this principle worked. In the very face of unemployment, with seemingly no demand for my services, the spiritual law acted unerringly to find my right place–and with the very firm that owed me so much. I was vindicated. My face was saved. I went back to that firm with increased respect from everybody, and began a whole new life-style.

That was years ago, and times change. But spiritual principles never change. When I became a minister and moved to California, my niece’s husband was out of work. I wrote him a letter, trying to set down in the simplest style the principle of right place that had worked so well for me.

He must have followed have followed instructions because from that time on, although he changed jobs, he was never out of work for long. The master principle of right place worked for him too. It will work for you as well, because divine principle never changes, never loses its power. Conditions change, depressions go out of style and are called something else.   Appearances may seem overwhelming. All those around you may be out of work and bewailing their unemployment.

But that need not govern you, provided you know about this principle of right place, and will start applying it in faith. All the knowledge you need of this master principle is spelled out for you in the following paragraphs. You simply start believing in it and applying it. Here is what I wrote to my nephew. It worked for him; it will work for you, too.

“Lift up your eyes, and look from the place where you are . . . for all the land which you see I will give you.”

If you want employment, that Bible verse is packed with power to help you. Stop endless dreary thinking about your present circumstances, and start thinking of the circumstances you want to be in. In other words, stop thinking of where you are; start thinking of where you want to go.

wake up, create your future“Lift up your eyes” means to uplift your attention. Your faculty of attention is really your greatest accomplishing power. Mystics say it is the eye of your soul.

When we you brood over troubles and think exclusively of appearances, you have your attention grounded, so to speak. It is on the lowest possible level the level of effects, things that have already happened. You want your attention off of those things as they seem to be, and concentrated on things as you want them to be.

To lift up your attention is to get away from things as they are. You must think of a higher level than outward circumstances. Let us nail down the idea that God-power works creatively in and through your own mind, and start to use your mind in the correct way to gain employment. In other words, turn your thought to God.

How to Use Your Mind in Gaining Employment

  1. Resolve to think thoughts of value to yourself. Your mind is incessantly active. You are thinking every minute that you are conscious. Yet how much of your thinking is contributing to your getting a good job?Determine to employ your own thinking and make it profitable. This is a real job, and it will challenge your best efforts. In order to accomplish it, install some mental traffic lights: STOP thinking of being unemployed. START thinking of being profitably employed. You can do this. God has given you the power to do it. Say to yourself: God implanted n me the power to control my thinking, and I claim this power right now.
  1. You can have a good job with good pay. There is one designed just for you. No one else an fill it, for it belongs to you, to supply all your needs.Regardless of prevailing business conditions, you can have your very own job, now, if you use the valuable creative energy of your own thinking and feeling to think creatively, think constructively, think courageously, and think constantly of having your right job. In other words, you must first employ your own thinking power in order to have employment. If your thinking faculty is unemployed, whose fault is that?
  1. Remember that you were born with a job: the job of employing and directing the wondrous creative power of the inner man of you. This inner man is always employed in creating what you, the outer man, seem to be and to have. The only materials he can use are what you give him by your thinking. Therefore, if you will properly employ your own mind and its powers, you will soon be employed in the actual everyday world.
  2. Employ your wondrous faculty of good judgment in deciding what you really want to do and can do best. You need the prompting of your higher Self in order to know what kind of job or work you really want. You don’t want “any old kind of job.” You don’t want “anything as long as it is work.” Sometimes I have sat in the office of a woman who runs an employment agency, listening to people who came in seeking work. She ask each one: “What kind of work do you want? What can you do?” And so often the applicant answers, “Well, uh–anything .” If he says this, she always says: “No one can do any thing. Thousands of things you can’t do. What can you do?” So you will not make the mistake of wanting “anything.” You want the right thing. It is far easier to demand and get your right job than to wish vaguely for “anything.”
  1. Pray for guidance. To receive the guidance and inspiration you need, reason with yourself along these lines: “Divine Mind within me is a Mind full of intelligence and love. It loves me as Itself, and gives me the intelligence I need, all the time. In order to be helped by Divine Mind within me, I have to believe in It. I must take the mental attitude that I know what I need to know, and then expect to receive exactly the ideas or information I need.” Here is a powerful affirmative prayer: By the power and wisdom of Divine Mind I am now and always employed and I receive the best wages. I enjoy my work and am very happy in it. My work is appreciated by everyone. My ability is recognized and rewarded. I give and receive perfect cooperation in my work. Thank You, God, I am grateful!
  1. Employ your love nature by thinking of how you would love to have such a perfect job. Wouldn’t you love receiving those good wages? Feel that first paycheck in your hand. Think of getting up in the morning with a job to go to. It would be a pleasure to go to work, wouldn’t it? Mentally appreciate and take delight in the feeling of security that goes with your good job, the sense of having a recognized place and standing in your community. Anticipate the pleasure of having an orderly and well-balanced life in which work makes rest and recreation enjoyable, and worship expresses your thankfulness for all your blessings. In other words, don’t just wish or long for work; that is negative, and may intensify dissatisfaction. Employ the mighty power of love, and direct it into working for you to attract the fulfillment of your desire.
  2. Employ your imagination by picturing yourself working at what you would love to do, and can do best in service to others. Employ your willpower by believing that your prayer for employment is now fulfilled. Pray believing, as Jesus Christ told us to do. Give thanks to God as heartily as though the job you want is already yours in actual fact.

Do you see now that it is impossible to be out of a job, to have “nothing to do”? Because, until you get your job in the outer world, you already have the job of employing your own thinking in these various ways, in order to demonstrate outer employment. You are already employed at the job you were born with: the work of expressing the inner man, of givinghim the kind of thoughts and feeling he needs to give you need.

Truly the state of your outward affairs, such a work and finances, is only a reflection, an out-picturing of what you habitually think and feel within. The outer man is only the mirror of his own mind. Employ your mind properly and you will soon be employed in the usual sense of the word. This assertion is based upon a master principle, actually upon a law governing the transmission of a television broadcast.

So, “lift up your eyes,” just as a young woman, whom we’ll call Bobbie, did. She wanted to work, so she prayed for guidance and thought earnestly about what type of work would best suit her. It seemed that she should be an assistant to a dentist whose practice included many children, for Bobbie loved children.

She even decided upon her new employer. He was just working up a practice and beginning to get established. He had no assistant, but he needed one. Bobbie prepared for the job. She showed her faith by buying herself some nurse’s uniforms and shoes. Then she went to the this dentist and applied for a job as his assistant.

He said, “I need an assistant but I can’t pay much of a salary.” Bobbie said: “That’s all right. I’ll work for nothing if you want me to, because I’ll be learning.”

“When do you want to go to work?” he asked. “Right now, this minute,” she replied.

He answered, “Oh, but you can’t do that. You’ll have to get yourself a nurse’s uniform and white shoes.” She told him, “Oh, I brought those with me.” What could he say?

She went to work and loved it, because the dentist did a great deal of work with retarded children, and Bobbie like to work with them. Of course she was successful, having been guided by the same successful, unfailing Power that runs the universe. When she prayed and made up her mind, when she showed her faith and confidence by following her own inner promptings, the master principle of right place was activated, and she went to work.

Put your own mind to work, employ it properly by practicing these simple methods, and soon you will be employed in actual fact. This also applies if you have retired, but are not happy and long for something to do. The principle of right place where you will serve capably, receive bountifully, and contribute the most to those around you.

This master principle will work for anybody who really tries to follow it, because it is based not upon wishful thinking or “conning yourself,” but upon the law of believing prayer. Believing prayer sets into action a law as exact and infallible as the laws that govern the movement of the sun, moon, and stars. Just as they have never been known to fail to be in their right place, so you cannot fail to be in your right place, because you will be guided by the same incredibly successful “wisdom magic” and all-powerful goodness that rules the heavenly bodies and runs the universe. Remind yourself often: “I am working with this wonderful law of right place, and my success is certain. I am thank for my divinely right place now!”

Question helps

  1. What was the first principle that the author found in regard to employment?
  2. what are the “mental traffic lights” that we should install?
  3. How are we to first employ our thinking power in order to have employment?
  4. How do you receive guidance and inspiration?
  5. What other faculties should you stir up to find your right place?

The Prosperity Law of Receiving

By Catherine Ponder – Guest Author

Prosperity Law of ReceivingThe first step in receiving is giving.
It is through the law of giving and receiving that you demonstrate prosperity.  If you are not receiving the good you feel you should have in life, ask yourself, “What should I give?”  Prosperity is omnipresent, and you cannot impoverish yourself by giving, which opens the way for you to receive.

EXPECT TO RECEIVE

We have all heard about the law of compensation; we cannot get something for nothing; we must give in order to received.  Often we have tried to bypass this basic law of prosperity; and in attempting to make short cuts we have only bypassed our good.

The formula is simple:  If you are not receiving the good you want in life, ask yourself , “What can I give, to make way to receive my good?”  Then freely and quickly give it!  There are those pious souls who wills say, “Oh, but when I give, I am not supposed to expect to receive.”  And so, of course, they do not receive.  Their very attitude blocks their good.

Quite the opposite is true:  When you give you can and should expect to receive.  It is the law of the universe.  Jesus pointed out the great law of receiving when He promised: “give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will they put into your lap.  For the measure you give will be the measure you get back.”  (Luke 6:38)

THE GREAT LAW OF “GIVE AND TAKE”

Someone called it “the great law of give and take.”  Give, and then you can take or claim your own abundance from the rich universe, because through you act of giving you have opened the channel through which universal supply can pour forth to you in appropriate form.

A Realtor in Palm Beach, Florida, had an apartment which had not rented for “the season,” though it was ideally located halfway between the beach fronting the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Worth.  He had made every effort (from a business standpoint) to rent it.  When he heard a prosperity lecture on “the great law of give and take,” he realized that he needed to give something away, in order to make way to claim his properity from the rental of the apartment.

As he was asking, “What can I give?” he received word from out-of-town friends what they were coming to Palm Beach for a month’s vacation.  They asked him to recommend a place where they could stay.  This was the answer to his desire to give: he made them a gift of the unrented apartment for their month’s stay.  During the month, he succeeded in renting the apartment for the entire approaching “season.”  But nothing happened, until he gave first.

GIVING MULTIPLIES YOUR RETURNS

In his book Working with God, Gardner Hunting has described the law of giving and receiving as the law of “come back”:  what you give comes back to you multiplied.  He advises:

Right where you are, now, begin to give something good to the person nearest you, and keep on doing it, no matter what you seem to get back at first.  DO! Don’t talk!  And you’ll lift yourself out of your troubles, no matter what they seem to be or how deeply you seem to be sunk in them.  Try it.  You’ll be surprised . . . Try it patiently and as seriously as you would try to get a drink of water if you were very thirsty.  You’ll get a return, a reward, that you don’t even dream of yet.

Any man, woman, or child can transform his life by transforming the thing he gives out.

A businessman began studying these ideas in Working with God before World War II.  As he began to give out in every way that was revealed to him, he had a dream one night in which the idea for a special kind of landing gear for airplanes was revealed to him.  He followed through on his dream, and invented the landing gear.  It was used during the war on planes all over the world.  Since that time this man has made other mechanical inventions that have helped mankind.  Needless to say, he quickly became a millionaire; and he continues to give, give, give, because he realizes this to be the secret of his affluence.  Among the things he has given away are hundreds of copies of inspirational books, and he has given large amounts of money, land, and other gifts to his church.

Gardner Hunting has also written, “Many things you want are now within your reach.”  By the act of giving, you open the way for the things within your reach to appear quickly.  These things have been wanting to come to you all the time, but were blocked by your lack of giving, because there was no free channel through which they could appear.  Your giving opens and frees the channel.

Always when there seems to be delay, confusion, or a block between you and your greater good, that block lies within you, and not in some outside circumstance or personality.  When you give under divine guidance, you dissolve the block and open a channel for your good.  Then nothing can stop its manifestation in your life!  (Nothing has stopped its manifestation previously but your own lack of giving.

To develop a permanent prosperity consciousness, declare often:  I always have something to give and I give it. As I give consistently, I open the way to receive consistently.  I give freely my tenth to God’s work and workers, and I reap a hundredfold.  I am receiving, I am receiving now.  I am receiving all the good God has for me now. I am permanently prosperous.

How Mr. Anderson Achieved Success

by Stella Terrill Mann – Guest Author

The Secret to SuccessA Mr. Anderson came to me to pray with him concerning his business affairs.  He long had dreamed of increased prosperity but his dream had not come true.  He had become fearful and bitter but thought of himself as a “strict Christian.”

“I have worked hard all my life, but success has not come to me,” he complained.  He did not realize that he was accusing God and His laws.

“It never will come to you,” I told him.  “If you want success you must go after it.  That is, you must learn and use the rules for success.”

There is no law for failure.  But many people use the law of success by which to fail.  They put it into reverse.  They ask for what they do not want.  They talk about what they do not want.  They deny the good that is at hand for accepting.  They think about and believe in failure or limitation, and so they sow the seed of failure instead of the seed of success.

“But I am a praying man,” Mr. Anderson protested.  “It seems to me I spend a lot of time telling God what I want.”

Upon hearing his full story, it was apparent that he spent most of his time talking himself down, destroying his own good by his own words.  He owned a small business and rented quarters in a down-town building but was looking for more space.  After going into his needs, we went into prayer about it and I then spoke the word for him.  This was an entirely new part of prayer for Mr. Anderson, and he was not at all sure he liked the idea of “saying it is so.”  He was rather inclined to say, “Well, if God wants me to have a new place, He will find it for me.”  However, he was willing for me to use my own method in helping him.

Not long after our work together, a man from Mr. Anderson’s church called on him at his home.  The church was raising funds at the time and pledges were being asked.  The caller said that he had been observing Mr. Anderson at his shop and admired the way he handled customers.  ‘You must have a lot of friends,’ he said.

“Oh no,” said Mr. Anderson, and shrugged a denial.

I happened to be passing through the building yesterday and noticed people seemed to like doing business with you.  I suppose you so very tidy little business there, Mr. Anderson.’

“Oh, no,” Mr. Anderson hurriedly replied.  “I’m not much of a business man.  I just about get by.”

“I’m surprised to hear that,” said his caller, looking disappointed.  There was a little more talk, and the man went away without asking for a donation to the church.

A few weeks later Mr. Anderson learned that his caller was putting up a fine large office building and had been looking for a tenant for the very kind of space Mr. Anderson was praying for.  But he convinced the owner of the building that he was not the man for the place.  His caller found another man to lease the space to.

“There is a tide in the affairs of men, which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune,” said the wise Shakespeare.  Through prayer, Mr. Anderson brought the flood of opportunity to him, but through his own Spoken Word he sent it away when it came.  Through fear of being asked for a larger donation to the church than he felt he wanted to make, he talked of himself as a failure and was accepted as such.

Having learned a lesson and his curiosity having been aroused, Mr. Anderson was ready to start to learn ‘that new way of prayer.’

The main point of what he learned is that our words, including the idle ones, musty back up point two, our decision.  There is no use to ask for anything in prayer if we are not going to give it our full support.  We want to avoid Mr. Anderson’s mistake.  He later learned to Speak the word, and here is the formula he used:

First prepare your mind to receive.  Mr. Anderson was instructed to prepare his mind before speaking the word.  He was to say:  I, William Anderson, am the Word of God.  God expects me to use the Creative Power He has given me.  I have asked in prayer for better and larger space for my business.  There is a perfect space and place for me, or I would not have asked for it.  I am helping make God’s dream of man come true when I live up to the highest use of my creative power.

I do not need to know how God is doing this for me.  I only need to believe it is being done.  And I do believe.  I have asked for the good I desire knowing that God wants it for me.  I gratefully accept and know that I have already received.  And, so it is.

Mr. Anderson invested time in the study of the principles shared with him, as he filled his heart with belief.

One day, not long after, trembling with excitement, he came into my office.  His dream had come true.  He wanted me to go with him and see the fine new quarters that he had heard of, in a most unusual way, and leased on first sight.  “I didn’t talk myself down one bit,” he told me proudly.  “I boldly told them I was a good business man who had outgrown my old quarters, and that I needed more space in a better location.”

Mr. Anderson has earned more money ever since.  Like all who come into the Truth movement, who begin to make demonstrations, who love this new way of life, he is busy telling others about it.  The businessmen in the building frequently stop by Mr. Anderson’s shop to ask, “Well, what’s new?” and he has found a way to send one man to another, as a kind of clearing house of ideas, and has picked up many times the amount of his income from his shop in payment of help to others.  His constant talk to himself about his business ability and growth simply had to  become manifest.

If you will study and learn to Speak the Word for yourself concerning your dreams, you will enjoy the success that Mr. Anderson experienced.  Remember:  Your Holy Servant must obey your every order of Let There Be!  This is said in many ways, especially by what you believe.  You cannot talk failure and win success.  You can’t say, “Oh, I was only joking.  I didn’t mean that.”

Your object in Speaking the Word is to specialize this power, use it as a good and profitable servant with deliberate purpose and intent, time after time.

Always, always, you must speak in line with your desire, and your decision.

(The above is excerpt from the book, MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE.)

You have the power to make your life what you desire it to be.  Your spoken word is not only powerful to make changes in your life it is the power through which definite changes come about.  Regardless of outside influences, you shape your life through your thoughts and words. –

The Secret of Prosperous Living

The Secret of Prosperous LivingThis special article is created to help you to actually experience increased prosperity.  It is part of the dedication of Golden Key Ministry-Unity to help as many people as possible to live the truly abundant life we are all entitled to.  I trust that you find it helpful and truly prospering. Your comments are invited. – Lovingly, Rev. John

The following are ideas to energize your mind and your prosperity.

It has been estimated that over thirty million people have studied self-help methods in the past decade or so, and that eighty percent of today’s adult American population are engaged in a search for self-help fulfillment. The key as to whether they find that fulfillment may lie in whether they learn and apply the secret of prosperous increase.

Various schemes have been suggested for getting rich quickly.  Many of them fail, because they are based on “getting” – not on “giving.”  Here is how the secret of prosperous increase works:  systematic giving is the beginning of systematic increase.  However, that giving must be done in a certain way, through consistent sharing of your tithes.  The word “tithe” means “tenth,” and the ancient people felt that “ten” was “the magic number of increase.”

Your tithe should be given first and impersonally – separate from that which you spend on yourself, your family, your business, or your friends.  Such impersonal gifts are usually given to spiritual causes where you are receiving help and inspiration to help you prosper in all areas of life.

Systematic sharing with the universe of a portion of all that the universe shares with you is the beginning of financial increase.

How a businessman doubled his income in just one year

A businessman worked long and hard in his field, yet he never achieved the prosperity and success he felt he should have.  He had taken various success courses over the years, all of which temporarily encouraged him. Yet permanent success evaded him.  When he heard about the prospering power of systematic giving at a prosperity seminar, he decided to try it.

He began to tithe a tenth of his gross income on a weekly basis to the church where he had learned this prosperity principle.  Every Sunday morning when he had finished up his workweek, he totaled up his income and wrote his tithe check first, before meeting other financial obligations.  Within one year, his financial income doubled!

He said the only thing he had done differently in his work in that year was to consistently give one-tenth of his income to that church.  He has since paid off the mortgage on his home, purchased a new building to house his business, and taken his first vacation in years.  He said simply:  “Tithing spells success on all levels of life.”

How the secret of prosperous increase works

Systematic giving is most often done by enlightened individuals through the practice of tithing to God’s work at the point or points where they are receiving spiritual help and inspiration.

The Hebrews of the Old Testament became one of the richest groups of people the world has ever known, because they gave not the last and the least, but the first and the best, and their giving made them rich!  They never complained about their lavish giving and they never repealed their generous tithing practices.  Over and over, the payment of their tithes brought peace and plenty.  Ten is still the magic number of increase to those who consistently practice sharing a tenth of their income and assets in this special way today.

An accountant’s financial discovery

Accountants are regarded a very prudent people.  Their job is to help clients conserve their income rather than dissipate it.  But a Los Angeles public accountant once said to me, “I have noticed that my clients, who tithe, prosper.  Their incomes continue to go up, up, up year after year.  When I have a client who is having financial difficulties and not prospering, he is not a tither.”

The word “prosper” in its root means “wholeness.”  That is what the prophet, Malachi, promised in the last book of the Old Testament to those who tithe.  He pointed out that tithing can be the best investment in successful living you can make over the years, and also the most soul-satisfying.

The above is adapted from Open Your Mind to Receive by Catherine Ponder.

Declare the Prospering Truth:

God is my source and my consciousness of God is my supply.
Every day in every way, I am growing richer and richer!
I no longer strain and strive, I tithe and thrive.
I freely give my tenth to God and I reap a hundredfold.
All financial doors are open, all financial channels are free, and rich abundance
now comes to me in God’s own wonderful way!
Guided by Divine Love and Wisdom, I am prospering in wonderful ways now!
Faithfully tithing, I think rich, feel rich, act rich.  I am rich!

Your Prosperity Mental Equivalent

Lesson Twenty-two – Your Prosperity Mental Equivalent

Prosperity Principle:
Your Prosperity Mental Equivalent determines your manifest prosperity.

In Prosperity, as in all areas of life, you must first have the corresponding Mental Equivalent of what you desire to achieve. Presented in this lesson are some important guidelines for creating and expanding your Prosperity Mental Equivalent.

Emmet Fox wrote:  “The secret of successful living is to build the mental equivalent that you want and to rid yourself of the mental equivalent that you do not want.

“You build the mental equivalent by thinking quietly, constantly, and persistently of the kind of thing you want.  Thinking has two qualities: Clarity or definiteness, and Interest.  Whatever you want to build in your life, form a mental equivalent of the thing you want by thinking about it a great deal and by thinking clearly and with interest.  Remember:  Clarity and Interest, these are two poles.”

How to create your Prosperity Mental Equivalent:

  1. Get clearly in mind, and a keen interest in, the object of your desire.
  2. Use Prosperity Prayers (affirmations), such as are included in these lessons, to better connect your mind with the Source, and to strengthen your conviction and confidence.
  3. Daily pray (declare) the Prosperity Prayer audibly with feeling as part of your prayer and meditation times. Never just parrot the words of affirmations.  The more feeling that accompanies an affirmation, the better the impression on your subconscious mind.
  4. Totally identify with your desire, and with the Source of all wealth.  Feel your oneness with it.  Act as though you really believe this.
  5. Keep quiet.  Do not talk to just anyone about what you want to achieve.  Silence and deep faith have great prospering power.

Ten ways to expand your Prosperity Mental Equivalent:

  1. Mentally accept more than you now have.  Upgrade your vision and self-worth.
  2. Visualize money flowing into your hands.  See and accept it as your money.
  3. Develop unlimited prosperity ideas.  Give more time to seeking from within.
  4. Eliminate all limited, lack thoughts.  Delete everything that could inhibit your
  5. Instead of “not enough”, think “plenty”.
  6. Feel rich inside.  Give thanks often that you are truly rich in mind now.
  7. Praise the power within you and feel it expand.
  8. Believe and act as if you already have your new high-level income.
  9. Establish harmony in your world.  Practice the Law of Love in all you do.
  10. Believe in and live by the spiritual law, “God is the Source of my supply.”

Prosperity Affirmation:  Through my expanded Prosperity Mental Equivalent, my prosperity is steadily growing in wonderful ways now.

Action:  Take a few minutes and think about what your present Mental Equivalent might be.  Whatever is presently happening in your life is the outpicturing of your present Mental Equivalent.  Use the law of substitution.  Substitute what you want for what you don’t want.  Be very clear about what you want and make sure you have great interest in it.

Supply is Always at Hand

If you do not know what or who it is you need to forgive, when your good seems withheld from you, ask God to reveal to you what or whom you need to forgive. You may be surprised to find where the block is! – Catherine Ponder, The Prospering Power of Love” – Catherine Ponder

The spiritual realm is mysterious and unknown to most of humankind. We sense its power, but only a few God-centered individuals have tapped the kingdom and allowed its power to give rise to miracles and wonders. These saintly ones encourage us to do likewise, but their demands of humility, stillness, and nonresistance seem impractical in today’s world. Yet the power of the Presence has been made manifest.

It is understandable that you may be preoccupied with the manifestation of greater supply, but then you are focusing your attention in the wrong direction. Too often people tend to make a god of manifestation. This is serving mammon. In other words, it is trying to live life from outside in instead of living life from inside out. As stated in previous E-Zines, it is essential for you to put God first and then everything proceeds out of your consciousness of God.

The Truth is, you cannot serve God and mammon. Actually, it is not necessary for you to serve mammon at all. When you focus on God as the one reality and the source of your supply, and put your full faith in God to provide for you then mammon, or the manifestation of greater prosperity becomes automatic.

A sense of well-being and security.

When you fill your consciousness with the Presence, the first thing you feel is a sense of well-being and security. Although nothing may have happened in the exterior world, your inner world is changing. When this happens, it is imperative that you keep your focus on God and not derail it by giving attention to what is being manifested.

God never gave poverty to one man and riches to another, neither has He ever brought sickness to you and health to your neighbor; Life, health and abundance are omnipresent. The only law of nature is the Law of Supply. Poverty is unnatural; it is distinctly a man-made condition, brought about by the limits man places upon himself. God’s gifts are equally available to everyone. Health, Happiness, and Prosperity are not limited either to time, place or individual; they are a matter of consciousness and are attracted to those who understand and believe in their own inherent powers to achieve. – Venice J. Bloodworth

Moves into New Home! Thank you for your letter and words of encouragement. I have moved into a lovely, clean and orderly place of my own. It is surrounded by the harmony and peace of a palm grove and filled with bird song. I had prayed and prayed but every door seemed closed. After I released the problem to God, an idea came to me. That idea is now my new home. It always helps to put God first, and then everything works out. I am so grateful for my wonderful prosperity blessing. God bless you and thank you! – P.C. Arizona
